P.E & School Sport Specialist Programme

High Quality P.E Provision, Half days, Full days, After-School Sports Provision, Sports Team Training, Competition Provision & Management.
PE is a specialist area to teach and is a very important part of a child's learning within the School environment. Children can learn new skills, express their ideas through physical activity and provide support and encouragement within the class. This is why we feel teachers should be helped with the expertise of Sports Coaches who can deliver excellence and pass on their enthusiasm to the children.

Our team of Skills & Fitness coaches work alongside your school to provide high quality and essential PE lessons as part of the National curriculum. Each schools needs are different and that's why we can personalize sessions to suit your school all whilst meeting important objectives.

Specialist support examples:

1)Physical Literacy

A huge part of the new primary school P.E curriculum is to ensure ALL pupils are physically literate. By teaching children the fundamental movement skills, we are enabling them to apply differing body movements to a range of sports, confidently and securely, which will allow them to take part in both individual sports and team games. We often deliver this through a term of multi skills coaching.

2) Basketball

Pupils to take part and learn the basic skills required for the game, passing and receiving, shooting and dribbling. High quality coaching will push them to develop an understanding of tactics, special awareness and court positioning needed to be successful in full game play.

3) Football

A structured progressive programme with sessions linked to the modern day professional game. Areas covered will include; passing, dribbling, turning, first touch, football fitness and sportsmanship.

4) Athletics

The scheme of work set out by England Athletics allows pupils to develop their skills in track and field events. This includes running technique to increase speed, throwing and jumping activities, but essentially developing pupil’s agility, balance, coordination skills.

5) Fundamentals though Ball Skills

Specifically aimed at Key stage 1 pupils, children learn the various techniques of ball control; rolling, aiming, throwing, catching, dodging and hand-eye coordination. These key skills will equip the children for team games when they enter Key Stage 2.

6) Hockey (Quick sticks)

Areas of work will include basic dribbling, passing and receiving skills, simple tactics for attacking and defending, drills and small game play.

7) Netball (High 5 and 7 a side)

9) Gymnastics

A high quality gymnastics scheme of work which involves Travelling, Jumping and Landing, Static & Dynamic Balance, Rolls, Sequences of movement, and ofcourse full use of school apparatus, mats, climbing frames in a safe educating and enjoyable environment developing children's agility, balance, flexibility and coordination.

Additional areas of support:

1) Supporting Pupil Progress

One of the main areas Ofsted look for when visiting a school is how the Sports Premium money is being spent, and the impact it is having upon your whole school. As the Sport Premium money has been confirmed until 2020, schools will need to consider a long term plan on how they are going to effectively spend their money and ultimately evidence its impact. We can provide documentary evidence of pupil progress across KS1 and KS2. We conduct practical assessments which look at tracking pupil’s progress through running speed, agility levels, coordination and balance. This can be achieved by carrying out assessments throughout the academic year; you will receive individual results for each pupil which will be displayed and ready to present to Ofsted when needed.

We offer competitive prices and can also give your School the opportunity to see us in action by arranging your FREE taster session. This gives us the chance to meet the staff and children and for your school to see how we can fit into providing a valuable and dedicated service.
